Our Mission
Our mission is to connect people back to the community through various events, activities, trainings and social gatherings. There was a time when community meant more than just the area where you lived. You knew your neighbor, you attended various functions/activities together, and you helped those around you in need. Today we are separated by so many different things: race, culture, religion, lifestyles, location, status, money, etc. the list goes on. There are more things available today that separate us than bring us together. Often the very technology that has the ability to connect us to the world is the one thing that is distancing us in our own homes. It is our goal to bring a sense of community back to the hearts of the family.
Our Vision
The ultimate vision of A Place to Connect is to become a "hub" for the community where it is located. It is our endeavor to be a place where jobs/businesses are created and operated that respects and cares for its employees by providing substantial living wages, benefits, and opportunities for advancement and development. To pour back into the communities by providing low to no cost classes and trainings of various topics that enrich and enlighten the human soul. To make art of every form accessible to all by supplying teachers with a passion for art and supplies free of cost to inspire creativity in the human mind. While all of this is a great vision which has yet to be actualized, it is in the process. All great things has a start and all start with a vision!
